It really seems weird that pain means healing.

Yes, I think most of us wonder about our sexuality. Though I haven't "done" anything, I still feel some libido, actually more than pre-surgery. Hopefully, I'll get some clearance tomorrow.

For today, I was out almost 3 1/2 hours and I'm ready for the recliner. I wonder, but it seems like any pelvic activities will be extremely tiring. ha ha.

Wow, it is really amazing how much of a difference going to work makes! I am sooo sore. My left side, the area that's always given me the most trouble. I want to take a pain med!

I think it's just all the extra movement involved in getting ready, then lugging my laptop up a long flight of stairs. Oh, and taking my 80lb dog into the vet this morning did not help matters at all, I'm sure.

I'm ready to croak.

Joellen
couldn't you've taken some more time off work?
I know I'll have to go back soon, but I might be able to convince my dr. to give me two more weeks off.

I could have, but I really can't afford to take more time off. 60% of pay doesn't cut it, and I'm single, no one's paying my bills except me. And Christmas is coming !!

I'll be okay, I just need to push myself alot. This will pass. Pretty soon I'll be back in the groove and it will be just the way it is, just like it was before surgery. You do what you gotta do. Right?

hi Ladies,

I've been reading your updates... didn't have much news myself.

Today, however, I had my 6 week checkup (a couple days early). The dr. said healing is going very well, cleared for all activities. Including sex. (A simultaneously exciting and terrifying thought!) He did an internal exam. I don't think it felt any better or worse than exams I had before my surgery.

This is week 2 back at work, still doing full time from home. I'm not quite ready to face the office yet... though I may do so on Wednesday. We'll see.

Hope everyone is doing okay today.

Because I was so nervous it seemed to take forever and I don't know that it was exactly the same, but at least I am not broken. I don't know if I'm the only one who was worried about this, but I just thought I would share some good news. As far as penetration, I am still scared stupid. I will be cleared in one week, but not sure I will be ready yet. Although I know my DH is more than ready!

Yesterday, I actually made it through the whole day at church - Sunday school (even taught my class of 1st & 2nd graders), the morning and evening services. I was really tired at the end of the day, but it felt so great to get some aspect of my normal routine back.

I am still having pains in my abdomen that literally take my breath away. Especially when I stand, the stabbing prickly sensations are terrible. There were on my lower right side, now it's my upper left side. The doctor said that it is the body healing itself. Why does it have to hurt so much?

Just a thought - because I am not on HRT, doctor told me that I need a calcium supplement. Extra strength Tums was the recommendation (I bought the generic version) because it gives all the calcium I need and is much cheaper than all the other alternatives.

Wishing everyone a better day today than yesterday!

hi, I suppose the internal exam gives a glimpse that all is probably OK. ha ha

It is a beautiful day here. We are looking at record high temps, in the 70s. Yes, it's nice and I'm going back on my deck to finish my coffee, but it makes me wonder. I think we need some cold weather to control our mosquitos.

I'm anxious and scared and excited about my doc's appt this afternoon.

Lovetowalk you can have some of our cold weather

I must say nothing more fun that manuevering on ice without slipping and falling So far so good, but I have to say, I am from CA so this whole ice thing I just don't get in a normal winter...

Other than that doing ok. Living life on Motrin only at night, though i find after sitting too much, I need ice for my incision. Just gets too itchy drives me bonkers.

My post op apt is tomorrow, and I can't wait. Just to get it over with. Last night I had a dream where the apt took 4 hours and included long waiting time for test results, and a video replay of the surgery which wasn't pleasant. Unfortunatly I woke up before I got the test results.
