hi sisters, today I felt pretty good, had a great day!I was afraid I would over do (came close) I was really tired when we got home. my elderly fater inlaw is in rehab for a brain injury, our 1st visit was too much for me too handle,I was totally spent by the time we got back to the car. We still had to take mother inlaw home & pick up some needed things at the store.needless to say I spent the rest of the day in bed.
In the past week I have dealt with soo many diffrent things. the gas & bloating (very painful) hormones going crazy. Supposedly the shot they gave me was supposed to last 3 weeks-it lasted less than a week. Could this be a pattern? put the patch on, noticed headaches after a couple of days. I should mention dr. put me on pacthes before surgery because of mood swings & low hormones. I did notice before surg would cry for no reason when est. was low not to mention really fowl moods. the headaches I didn't get till after surgery, 2 or 3 bad headaches while still in the hospital & 1 last night that woke me up out of a sound sleep. I had put the pacth on 2 days before so , maybe it peaked yesterday?!? The dr. did say to put on the patch when I feel the mood swings come, so I did.
I,m also having those sexual urges too! It's soo tempting but , I do know better. I come to this site at least once every day. I try to read all the new posts. I have read thru a lot of the hormone posts too.
Dh has been really great, he has really risen to the occasion, needs work tho in meal planning & cooking (I won't starve) but he really is trying! I love him so much! I know I,m long winded here, just wanted to post I'm doing better now than the last time I posted. lsat time I posted wrong, I was feeling pretty bad & hope to talk to some one. I guess it just got lost in some other thread. Glad to say I feel much better now.
thanks for listening.

I'm so glad you're feeling better but it's vital not to overdo anything in the first 6 weeks. The initial weeks of healing are essential for a, hopefully, smooth recovery. It's such early days and will take a while for everything to settle down. A hysterectomy is major surgery and takes quite a toll on the body.

It's great that your DH is helping so much ~ make the most of it so you can rest as much as possible!

It may help you to read our HS article <link> Post-Op Checkpoint Weeks 1-2 which is packed with information.

Wishing you all the very best as you continue to heal!
