anyone heard of Brenner Tumor?
Whem my mother's ovarian tumor burst (which ultimately required a TAH/BSO) back in 1985, it was diagnosed as a Brenner tumor. It was explained to her as possibly cancer causing. She went to an oncologist twice a year for 5 years for monitoring.
Then, in late July, when I met the gyne oncologist who was to perform my TAH/BSO, mom came along and, at one point, mentioned that she'd had a Brenner tumor. The gyne oncologist told her that that is a benign tumor that they usually just keep an eye on it.
