hey aaron, i've had that too, also restless legs. but, then again, i've had that in the past, from taking fluoroquinolone antibiotics, which are supposed to just destroy the mDNA of the bacteria (taken for UTI), but also destroy the mDNA of human cells ! ! ! which usually effects muscles/ligaments. they should be taken off the market ! ! my body reacted by having autoimmune problems, and i assumed this was why i got the twitches in my legs again? but, might be from the fact that during the surgery, the body is immobilised completely for many hours? hmmm..... anyway, my probs are slowly abating........hope yours does too.......gee.

nerves twitching in calves after surgery
Some twitching can be an imbalance between calcium, Potassium, and Magnesium, and sometimes even B Vitamins and Zinc. I would suggest taking a full spectrum Multi vitamin, if you aren't already. Surgery can cause these imbalances. If you are already, and if these twitchings continue, you might get some relief by asking your doctor to see if your Calcium, potassium and magnesium levels are normal and in balance.
My eye lids sometimes twitches a lot, and a multi vitamin takes care of it.
