Swollen Belly

I'm at 7 1/2 weeks and am still getting the swelly lower belly from time to time. I notice it mostly in the evenings when I've had a long day of being up and around. Don't be discouraged, as I recall it took a good 4 1/2 weeks before I was able to put my regular jeans on comfortably. I think much of it depends on what type of surgery you had.

Since my surgery, I have lost close to 15 lbs. and have gone down a jeans size. YAY!!

Swollen Belly

I am 9 weeks and 1 day post op and the belly comes and goes. There are certain times that I'll wake up in the morning almost flat and by afternoon it's back. One thing that has helped me is Spanx underwear, expensive but nice support without being consticting (only sold at higher end stores). There's also a lower priced brand called Assets which are at Target and some one told me today at Chicco's. They've helped tremendously in me wearing my existing work clothes. At night I just throw sweats on. I found great lounge pants at Target with a drawstring waist.

Are those spanx underwear like actual underwear or do they have the longer legs that go halfway down the thigh?

The ones I bought are just underwear. I can only find those in the SPANX brand though. Cheapest pair is $22. I bought three and just keep washing them. I wear those and/or Assets stockings ($10) or tights ($12) everyday..

There is a store near me that sells Spanx. I will have to look for them before I return to work.
Thanks!

LOL....my girlfriends and I at work, years ago used to cut our panty hose off at the calf or knee...the very control top ones, and we would wear them under skirts in the summer if we wanted our bare legs to show or actually it was the late 80's, 90's when leggings were in and we did it for those too..so that everything could be held in and not show at the bare leg or foot...imagine..this Spanx lady is an overnite millionaire and we had these going on years ago!!!
