leg numbness

I am 2 weeks into recovery from TAH. I am dealing with definite insomnia and severe pain in my groin areas at both legs if I cough or sneeze. Also, my left leg is numb on the side right above the knee. I was told by doctor that this was swelling around a nerve and would go away in a few days. It's been more than a few days! Has anyone else had this and the groin pain. I'm wondering if I have pulled some inside stitches because of this pain.

I'm sorry you're experiencing these problems.

Numbness is common, I'm afraid. Ladies frequently complain of abdominal numbness with some having leg numbness as well. If you try a "forum search" (click right of the main page of this forum) I think you'll be surprised at how many posts you'll find to read through. We also have an HS article <link> Numb Thigh which may help you as well.

Did you mention the groin pain to your doctor? If not, it may be an idea to do so, to be on the safe side.

Wishing you all the best and hoping you feel alot better, very soon. Take care!
