Has anyone tried....

Sorry to be so personal, but has anyone tried "outercourse" as my doc put it. She cleared me for outercourse 3 weeks post op. I'm now 4 weeks and I haven't tried because I'm too scared. I'm terrified that an orgasm will hurt my insides. My hubby is patiently waiting for me to tell him when I'm ready. Just wondering if anyone's tried and if so, did you have any negative affects? If someone has already posted about this, sorry. I went back a few pages, but got tired of looking.

Yes, my husband and I did "outercourse" about 4 weeks after my TAH and it was just as good as it was before the surgery. The orgasm did not hurt my insides at all and I had no negative effects from it. I would say "go for it and have fun".

No, but we did have intercourse after 2 weeks!! No problems!

Thanks! I think I'll probably go for it. My doctor did say it was o.k.

What an irresponsible and misleading thing to say. Under no circumstances are we to have intercourse until cleared by the doctor. I suggest you delete your post so no one comes across it. That's plain wrong.

Can someone "nicely" explain outercourse?

I agree. If anyone reads my post on the page I just had intercourse at 7 weeks and had to have surgery to repair it. Please everyone listen to your doctor. We all heal differently and it is no fun having to go back and have surgery so soon after your hyster. If your doctor says it is ok thats a whole different thing.
