I would never have intercourse yet. Not until I'm cleared by my doc. ESPECIALLY after reading your post Janelle. My doc only said "outercourse". Even though she cleared me, I'm still nervous about it.

Yeah.......no use rushing things. Outercourse (I've never heard of until reading all of this) sounds fine. Your hubby wants a full recovery and is there until you are ready. He will be there for years and years so goodness, wait it out and have FANTASTIC intercourse when you are good and ready.

AH yes... OUTERCOURSE! Well, our imagination is basically the limit.... if he isn't IN THERE... then it is just what it sounds like. Just consider it "glorified" foreplay.

Actually, I had gotten the OK to "slightly mess around" (outercourse) at my 4 week follow up... but we went just a touch farther... It was ALL me... I was healing fabulously... no bleeding... no pain... things got slightly out of control. MY fault... DH stopped me and said... Knock it off!! Well, I paid for it for 10 days.... Bleeding RED - bright red blood... popped a stitch or two of the V-cuff. Doc was NOT happy!!!

Set me back about a week... DH said it felt like a porcupine "in there".... yep... stick to external stimulation. My desire was to be intimate as we had been, in the "good old days". I felt swo much better.

The thing is, I KNOW BETTER!

Yeah....I wouldn't go any further than that. I wouldn't want to have a set back after coming so far. Thanks everyone for responding. It's nice to be able to have a place to ask these questions.
