Ok, surgery... October 5th.
Total... everything gone, abdominal surgery.

Recovery going well, as expected.
Lost two pounds, figure that!

Problem: regular discharge was clear, yesterday it was tinted somewhat pinkish, today same, its not bleeding, its not increased discharge, its just slightly colored.

No itching, or irritation. No sex, what's that?!?!

Yesterday was first day I did NOT wear the abdominal binder.

Anyone had this happen before?????!!!!!?!?!??!?!

TAH on 10-8-07..i started spotting this past week. First since day of surgery. Brown color. Not much. They say about this time the stitches on the inside are healing and this is normal. But if you have any doubt , you should call your doctor. i rested a little more with the spotting just to give the insides alittle extra help in healing

I didn't figure about stitches healing and dissolving.
I have a call in to my doc.

I think you're right.

4 weeks post-op... spotting..sortof,anyone had this?!?!?!

Hi all
My Hysterectomy was on 9/27/07 and all seemed to be going perfectly till I had my staples out a week later. That night I awoke in a puddle, noticing one side of my incision was leaking. I called the doc on call, and he said to apply pressure and not to worry. It did not stop in an hour, so I called again and went to the ER at 3AM. It stopped and seemed to be fine for another week. At three weeks out I got a fever of 101.7 and spend the afternoon waiting for my doctor. He sent me home for the weekend and bed. My incision was quite red and atarted oozing. My doctor opened my incision about an inch and packed it on Monday. Since I live alone and he wanted it packed three times a day, I tried to drive back in the afternoon. Not a good choice. Driving using cruise control and braking with my left foot was not a good experience and the doctor put me back in the hospital for a week, while they figured out home health care. The put me back into surgery and opened half of my incision. It is now 4" long by 2" deep by 1" wide.

I spent another week in the hospital. When I was released I had home health care come once a day, till they could apply a wound vac. This is now week six and I am attached to a wound vac, and not allowed to leave the house.

I take Enbrel for Psoriasis, and wonder if this is in part why my recovery is taking so long. I somehow manage to stay in fairly good spirits, but this has been a huge interuption in my life. I just pray that the wound vac helps to heal this in a month, as the doctor suggested. My poor cat has been farmed out to a friend, to avoid contact. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
