Help Cyst and Major adhesions!!
Hi Sisters, I wanted to know if anyone has had problems with like this since their surgery.
I have been in pain ever since I had my hyster. A couple months after the surgery I went in for major pain on my right side, come to find out vis US that I had a cyst the size of a baseball on my right ovary. Doctor said to wait and see if it goes away......6 weeks later another US and cyst still there.......6 weeks later another US...cyst smaller yet fluid in abdomen.....went in for laporoscopy on Oct.5 to drain cyst and check out the ovary..... come to find out at follow up, they couldn't even get to the ovary because I have way too much scar tissue. Dr. told me that the other doctors were impressed with how many I have. Anywho, I am now having extreme pain on my right again as well as in my back. Dr. lost at what to do, wants to go to pain specialist to see how to handle. I have been on Motrin 800, Tylenol 3 and Vicodin since surgery in Feb. Now trying new stuff called Norco. I am so tired. I tought all my pain would of been over with surgery. I need help!!
Sisters if you have any advice or suggestions on what I can do I would greatly appreciate anything right now.
Take care.......Gen

Souds familar
I am in the somewhat same boat, but my cysts started 4 years post hyst. Hysterectomy for same reason. Why did they take left ovary to begin with? My doctor is open to taking ovaries now, actually new doctor, better than 1st. I have been having cysts since January of this year. Was put on Zoladex which is suppose to shut down ovarian function and put you into semi-menopause with 6 month course. Has you doctor suggested anything of this nature? Maybe if the ovary stopped producing hormones? You might want to see if what your doctor thinks or maybe do a little research yourself. It quieted mine down a little, might work for yours.
Good luck and let me know how you are doing.

Help Cyst and Major adhesions!!
Thank you so much for giving me another option. My doctor right now doesnt really want to take my right ovary being that it is the only one I have. He thinks that I am just a little too young for full menopause, but I think that I am already dealing with the symptoms. He has actually put me on Effexor XR to help me to try to deal with the pain. But it really hasnt worked. I am trying to find other opinions right about now too. So I will definately look into this one. Thanks again.
Take care!!
