I am in shock
I just got back from getting my port flushed. The nurse asked when I had seen the dr. I said a few months. She said I needed to see her. I told her that just coming there to get my port flushed was trauma enough for me. She was so sweet and she gave me a "real" hug. I was crying.
I asked if I could see my ctscan results and she told me no the dr had to do that. I left and she chased me down to the car and had my file in her hand. She read to me that I had no evidence of matastic disease, nothing to lungs, etc. The only thing I had was inflammation from the radiation. I was in shock. I left in a daze and did not ask more questions. What is it about going into a coma when we go to the dr.
She gave me another BIG hug and I told her how wonderful she was. She told me to please not tell the dr she had done that...I would never. She so went against the rules and out of her way to help me. What an angel.
Thank all of you so much for your concern and prayers. It all means so much to me. Now I will go to Hawaii and might even hula on stage and embarass my entire family.
Love to all,
Juanita
