bleeding 9 weeks post op

Hey there sisters,

I have been bleed free now for about 4 weeks and all of a sudden I have started bleeding again. It is very light, not enough for a liner but enough to stain my underwear and it is red to brown/orange.

I had some mild abdominal discomfort yesterday and apart from feeimg tired have felt fabulous.

Is this normal?, has it happened to anyone else?

Thanks for listening again

Ok, I just had a thought. I still have my cervix, so wondering if this could be a mini period, however my gyn said he did a reverse cone biopsy to ensure he had removed all of the main body of the uterus, so that mini periods wouldn't happen.

Is a mini period possible and if so, how do I know if it is a mini period or not?

worried sister

If you have your cervix (and ovaries) then a mini-period is possible. But, at 2 months post-op it could just be a "blip" in your recovery ~ it's difficult to say. I have mini-periods (which are less than "mini" now) and they started at about 3 months post-op.

The best thing to do would be to have a word with your doctor, just to check that everything is progressing at it should. If it happens again in a month's time, then you can probably be a little more certain as to what's going on!

Will you let us know how things go? Take care!

Thanks pooodle, I certainly will let you know what is happening. I don't know whether to worry or not!

I have my surgery nurse on Monday for Hg check, so I will mention to her, if she is concerned she should get one of the practice dr's to check me out!

I started spotting last week. Not everyday, and it is very light. Its a browish/orange color. I go for my 1st post-op on Monday, I'm sure they said someting about the insides healing around my time and this is from the stiches dissolving and healing progressing. I guess I will find out on Monday.
