staples causing pain
I am almost 2 weeks post-op, TAH / BSO, and I still have my staples. They are giving me a lot of grief! I think I will have them out on Tuesday when I have my first post-op appt with my surgeon, and I can't wait!
Has anyone else had this problem?
I am really super sensitive to any kind of tape, and I am assuming this is why the staple have been left in so long, but it si just as bad as steri-strips, in my opinion.

staples causing pain
moohaha....
All I can say is that I truly sympathize with your pain! I would imagine that staples remaining for this period of time would be aggravating.
Most seem to have theirs out pretty soon after surgery... Mine were removed at 6 days post op.
Hopefully you can endure the irritation for just a few more days... Surely they'll be removed at your Dr. visit.
On a positive note.... You WILL feel much better when they're gone! Just something to look forward to.
Hang in there.... Relief is in sight!!
Best wishes for quick and complete healing....

staples causing pain
Wow, two weeks and you still have staples. I had mine out at one week and they were starting to irritate me then.
I know I felt so much better when they were removed. I do hope you get the same relief when they are removed.

I had mine taken out at 10 days and it was a great relief. It seemed like a turning point when they were taken out.
