I am sure you other post-op ladies have experienced it. My stomach is so tight and sore and the pain from the gas in my shoulders has almost made me cry a couple of times.
How long (on average) should it be before this gas goes down. I am taking Gax-X as well, and am assuming that moving about a little may speed up the process.
Any thoughts or suggestions on this matter would be awesome.
Thanks for being here ladies!

I'm so sorry that I can't give you a definitive answer, but I can tell you it will get better. I am 8 months post op and I had to start taking water pills to help eliviate my agony. The gas is a by product of our surgeries, the bloating from our estrogen. I use a progesterone cream, by perscription, it is supposed to help so I wonder how bad I would be if I wasn't using it. I have always had sodium problems and now they are worse. But that first gas does go away with time.
God bless you,
Lori
