How long did you wait for sex???

I got the okay at my 6-week checkup. It never occurred to me do anything until I got the doctor's okay, because I just couldn't be sure how my internal healing was going until I got that exam in her office. I was still a little swollen the first time we tried, but I had no pain or bleeding, and every time after that was just better and better, definitely worth the wait!

How long did you wait for sex???

I'm only 1 day away from 2 weeks Postop and i'm DYING! I went to bed feeling sorry for myself because I can't do anything. Why oh why? Totally not the normal um, sexual behavior for me.

I can't apologizing to my husband for being broken and he's been so supportive. He says I'm not. I said if I have a 500 piece puzzle and 2 pieces are missing-- its never going to be complete! And he said-- you just build a frame around it and you wont ever notice the 2 pieces .. *sigh*..

I feel very broken. And I think i'm looking to have sex to see if I really truly am.

anyhow, i'm rambling.

Actually, I felt broken when my giant uterus and fibroids were bulging out every which way before my surgery. That certainly was not normal. It was the surgery that fixed me! My husband can't tell that anything is gone from inside of me when we do the deed.

How long did you wait for sex???

See I guess tahts the thing-- I didn't have swollen anything. I didn't have painful anything. I had precancer cells that were growing so we had to take it out. So to feel "Normal" before surgery? ANd to feel painless before surgery... and then now?

I dont know

Well, if it's precancerous cells, I would say it's the same thing, you can't live with this, waiting to see what might happen. I just don't the term "broken" applies here.

You are right we are not broken at all. In fact the thought of never having a period to ruin the mood sounds like a bonus to me. As far as the waiting everyone is different. I didn't wait like my doctor said and I am really paying the price now. Just listen to your doctor. I am sure I was an anomaly and my body is so messed up I didn't heal like everyone else but please wait until your doctors give the ok. Please everyone don't think of yourself as broken. Our uterus was only a small part and your DH will never know its gone.

How long did you wait for sex???

i got cleared on friday, but, had a houseful of guests (including grown-up kids) over the weekend, so waited til last night..............which makes it just on 7 weeks...........and we went at it slowly/cautiously, used some gel so there'd be no possibility of friction of any kind...........and it was fabulous. no pain. and i was pleased to know that "it wasn't broken".....lol..........gee.
