Am I the only one having "contractions"??

I had the same thing after my hyst. and then again when I opened/tore my vaginal cuff. I wonder why this happens. I don't think mine were from gas cause I didn't have any then. Maybe my other muscles were contracting because they were mad? Just another weird thing we go through.

Am I the only one having "contractions"??

When I was in teh Castle getting my Iv and everything ready fro my TAH/BSO, my nurse told me that I might feel cramping, or contraction like sensations She says it is what they call Phantom pains. Our bodys have not adjusted to the fact that parts are missing.

I have also had the baby kicking feeling and I think that is mostly gas.

Am I the only one having "contractions"??

well, girlz, i'm 7weeks out, and still getting these contractions/spasms in the muscles in my abdomen. i asked the doc about it on friday, and she said she'd never heard of it before, and to just see how it goes, as everything else was fine, healing-wise? mine seem worse when my bladder is full, and usually only when i've been asleep, then wake up. but, sometimes they continue when i've got up and walking. and, i have to scrunch down to ease them off. the worst part of them, is that it seems to aggravate the pain, although i have very little pain nowadays? anyway, its all veeeery weird??? someone in another post i did earlier said that her doc reckoned it was the muscles/nerves repairing themselves??? hmmm.................gee.

Am I the only one having "contractions"??

1catlady -- LOL! I must admit that I've felt "the baby kick" myself!!! Both before and after the surgery!!! Very weird experience, especially when there's nothing really there. I guess I would have to say gas as well. They always told me that the first kicks would feel like gas, but I have to say they felt nothing like gas! Or should I say, I've never had gas violently kick me!

Am I the only one having "contractions"??

OMG, I've been having those "contractions" for two weeks now--and I'm only 3 weeks post op from a TAH/BSO.

In fact, I have them ALL night long, and they actually awaken me. It's crazy...and they are not gas pains. I have those, too, but they are totally different. These are real muscular kind of contractions, and give me the creeps!

Ooooohhhh.......that is strange. I think I would talk to my dr. about this. It doesn't sound right to me.
