Re-entering the "real world"

My doctor recommended 3 weeks but most people I have heard say 2 weeks. I have not actually driven yet though. Probably won't until I go back to work.

Re-entering the "real world"

hi Lizzie, I started last thursday, just around home. It was nice but did tire easily. Sunday dh & I did Walmart & some other stuff in town, realized I'm not ready for that big trip on my own. I even ran into my dr.'s nurse there. Amazing how many people you run into at Walmart.
I had my TAH/BSO 10/17, so for now I'll just drive close to home, town is 20 min. away, too far if I get tired. I just wish we had a pharmacy here, I need my hormone patches & another perscription & am afriad to go to town just yet.
I'm bored out of my mind too! I wish I had the money to do stuff with all this time off. I hope my income protection kicks in soon, the bills keep coming & I have nothing to do except watch em pile up. Fun huh.
Remember to be vary careful, heal well &don't over do.

Driving,,,,,not yet for me, and I'm two weeks out of the shoot tomorrow. I see the Dr. on Friday, and see what the game plan is from there on out.

Dingum,,Hang in there! I agree you just need to not be bothered by other opinions. Do what is right for you! If looking too good is a curse,,I say go to the grocery store in your robe and fluffy slippers! LOL The older I get, the less I really care what people think of me. As long as I treat others the way I would want to be treated, the rest just falls into place. Recovery is just that! there is no timeline on an individuals rate of healing. Be kind to the Princess!

Thanks for that - isnt the boredom dreadful! I live in england and we only have about 2 walmarts here and they are miles away so i dont think i will attempt that! ha ha ha! I think a little drive into the village and back again to see how i feel will just about be my limit at the moment. I find the tiredness shocking. I potter around the house not doing much and then feel like I need 2 hours to recover - madness! I feel great though and feel like I could do loads which is the frustrating thing about it all. So scared of busting those internal stitches by accident.

best wishes and love to you all
