((((CAmich)))) If you've got woes, you got 'em, hon. You're trying to find a solution. I wish I knew what to tell you. Is there anything at all that you can eat? I'm just worried that you're not getting enough nutrition, and that's gonna affect your healing & recovery. Thanksgiving dinner food is usually fatty and heavy and maybe your stomach just rebelled. Why not just go ahead and call the partner and just see what he/she says. Maybe it will help---if not, you can ask your regular Dr next week.

Let us know how it goes, sugar!

CAmich: I had nausea, vomiting and diarrhea last Sunday and ended up in Emerg. on Monday morning. The xrays they took had shown that my bowels are sluggish. Doctor says that is why I am a bit nauseated, and have no appetite. Sorry you're going through such a rough time and I hope it clears up for you.

I saw my doctor today to see if things were improving since I was in emergency on Monday. I normally would not see my doctor until the 6 week appointment on Dec. 2oth.

Tina, I had one at about 2 weeks, and then have another (which I assume is my last) scheduled at about 10 weeks post-op.

post op check-up

Hi,

My check-up was scheduled for 2 weeks, but I got an infection 3 days after I got home and have seen the doctor three times. Now I'm past my 2nd week point and am going in for another check-up at the 3rd week point. So far, I have been off pain-killers starting today. I'm just extremely uncomfortable. Feels like I have a ton of bricks in my stomach. Anyone else experience this?

Karen, at 1st I felt like someone had been kicking me in the stomach! If you just got off the pain meds, you're probably just feeling now what the pain meds were blocking. It will get better. You may have to take something to sleep at night if you're that uncomfortable. Just take lots of rests and naps, and try to relax your body as much as possible.

Let us know how it goes, OK?

I was having a large amount of clear fluid from my vagina so they took xrays and a cat scan to check out my kidneys, ureters and bladder. They were worried that there was an opening from the bladder into the vagina....however what they found was my bowels are sluggish. They saw a lot of gas, fluid in there. So I feel like I have a ton of bricks...no appetite, a bit of nausea, even though I go every day or every second day. Jo

cidwolf: I'm sorry you are having nausea and vomiting. Me too! Mine started at exactly 2 weeks post-op and am now on day 5. When did your's start? I stopped taking the pain meds including Advil too, thinking that maybe that was what was upsetting my stomach. It hasn't helped yet, but then I'm not sure how long it takes to get it all out of your system (I've only been off about 36 hours). I really hope that you will feel better soon!

Thanks for the encouragement and support everyone. It's nice to have friends out there. Bless you all!
