Hey Katie, I still don't have any appetite....can only eat small amounts and feel bloated all the time. I had a TAH on Nov. 8 and it's been a rough ride so far.
Doctor tells me I have a sluggish bowel and this probably accounts for my feeling like this..I"m also nauseated. So hang in there..I'm told it does get better and it will be so worth it in the long run! Jo

LOL Cag2007-- maybe we can put our appetites together and come up with something more "normal" for each of us.

Jo, hope we both get to feeling more like our old ourselves....wait, we'll be better!....soon.

Pretty much the same surgery on 11/5 but with the bladder sling. I really don't feel pain doing these things but a lot of times I feel like I have a rake handle in my butt (sorry if this is TMI). It feels worse after I have been in the car for a while.

I find that I am so tired after just doing simple things. Today I felt great this morning, I dusted some furniture and then made a pot of homemade chicken soup. I was exhausted and could barely keep my eyes open. I don't know how long this will last. I feel great otherwise, but, when this tiredness kicks in I just have to sit down or lie down and take a nap.
Anyone else like this?
I will be 3 weeks post op on Wed of this week.

Hi all,

Just wanted to report that I'm feeling much better these last couple of days. I can sit for longer periods of time without feeling weighted down by the bricks in my stomach. Still uncomfortable in bed though. Looks like incision is healing well after infection. Just terribly bored with being in my bedroom so much - how about you?

Hugs, Karen
TAH - Nov. 6, 2007, everything removed.

Brenda,

I am in my 3rd week post op and feel the same way. Some days I feel energetic and then the next day, I'm wiped out. Today I napped and relaxed most of the day. I find that I feel the need to take a nap every day, which is very unusual for me. My DH says that when I'm sleeping, I'm healing, so that is my philosophy.

Hi all!!

Wow, I'm pretty jealous of everyone who actually does have days with some energy. I have not any of those yet. But I also have MS on top of everything else, so I'm sure that's part of it.

Thanksgiving was the first day that I helped dry dishes (just too guilty to sit and watch someone do ALL of the dishes) and wow, that completely wiped me out for the rest of the night!!
