Getting out of bed in the morning

Getting out of bed in the morning is a major effort. I wake up unable to lay there from the pain and barely able to move to get out of bed. I'm in a fog from the medication the night before.

I'm less than a week post op, TAH. Get my staples out tomorrow and can barely stand the thought of making the trek to the doctor's office. At least it's an afternoon appointment, I can get out of bed and get myself going at my own pace, a snail's pace certainly.

Everything hurts but the back ache is better today. Had the blessed event last night -- prune juice really helped.

Here's to one day further along in post op. I'm on my own today, just me and my dog, for 12 hours. I'm sure I'll be okay. My dog is so sweet to me, though I'm sure she doesn't understand why I'm no fun anymore. Sometimes she comes over and licks my feet. I should think that's gross but it's so soothing. Good girl, Daisy.

Getting out of bed in the morning

I remember trying to get out of bed only too well! All I can say is that it will get better. I found it much more encouraging to assess my progress on a weekly basis and not a daily one ~ then I was able to see the improvement.

You're right about the prune juice! I swore by it as it was like drinking an enema.

You'll be glad to get those staples out tomorrow and will appreciate the opportunity to ask any questions. Hopefully, you'll be reassured that all is proceeding as it should.

Take good care of yourself! Wishing you a smooth recovery.
