about 50 miles west of St. Louis. I have lived here all of my life, except for a year in Arizona. A little town. But growing fast. Haven't we been lucky with this weather? But tomorrow the high here is only suppose to be 45degrees..eeewwww. Time to spark up the fire places. Oh yeah...I can't lift wood. lol what to do, what to do..

You're 5 weeks post op and this is your first post-op doctor visit? I don't understand that. My first post op is tomorrow, one week after surgery.

I'm feeling kind of mad at your doctor, to be honest. Something doesn't seem right about this.

I'll look for an update later today, please be quick!

Yeah.I knd of thought I would of had a post-op visit before now. But I pulled out my hospital release paper and it said to make an apt. with my dr. in 4-5 weeks just to make sure. I made the apt.2 days after I got home.I had great reviews about my drs. surgery ability. I have been going to him for about 5 years now. And one of my mother-in-laws friends had even heardof him and said he was one off the best . I guess I will know when I get there. Hopefully no set backs. But I just took a shower, and raised up the "twinkie" and saw the shiny silver items still there. eeeeekkkk.

I'm sorry but those staples should have came out WEEKS ago. I'm ticked off at the doctor too. In fact I would be raising all kinds of h*** with him for not letting me know that.

Please let us know when you get back how the appt went.

quick question. when the staples were taken out , who took them out? I know some have sadi they had them removed in the hospital, and some 1-2 weeks later. Were the ones in the hospital taken out by your doctor? And what about the ones 1-2 weeks later?

I'm new at this, I have no idea how it's supposed to go. The hospital gave me some staple removers to take home with me but no way I'm taking these out by myself. The doctor will do that tomorrow, come hell or high water. I'll take the staple remover to him so he can finish what he started LOL

Are there two sets of staples? I'm unaware of this. I see one nice tidy row of 22 staples, silver, clearly visible. Those are the ones that will come out tomorrow and then butterfly bandages applied over the incision. This is the way I understand it.

Yep, the butterfly,or steri-strips came off weeks ago.But I can still see what I think are staples. Iknow one for sure at the end on the left side of my incision. It is silvery. Maybe they just left that one in to keep the end closed up, or forgot one. My fingers are crossed that they didn't mees up and forget totake them out in the hospital. We will see. I will let youall know when I get home today.
