5 weeks and never had stapled removed

So glad to hear that. What a surprise! I was sure you were right about the stitches, but I am glad you weren't!

Never feel stupid. I am sure I think up more ridiculous worries or questions in a day than anyone ever thought possible!! So you are in good company. This is definitely a place where you can feel free to ask what is really bothering you without feeling stupid.

Thanks for sharing your good news. I hope you get alot of extra rest now that you have extra time to do it.

I can see how you might think those were staples. I'm glad everything is okay! I think I had my staples removed just a few days after surgery, I sure wouldn't have done it myself, yikes! It didn't hurt when they came out, I just felt a pulling sensation.

thanks ...I am glad they were no staples. But they sure are heavy duty ones! The dr. said I'm right on schedule withmy recovery and I am glad I have two more weeks added to my recovery. I just might decorate the house for Christmas the day right after Thanksgiving (with the help of family) because when I go back on Dec. 3rd, there is no turning back in retail. I still have stiches inside that haven't healed yet, and of course the heavy duty ones, so I am still taking iti easy. Its funny how when you make that 5 week post-op visit to the doctor it makes you feel so much better. Take care all.

Oh thank heavens, twobtrue. No one thinks anything negative of you. We all got to ride the worried train together and be there for the good news together.
I think an angel whispered in the docs ear that you need more time off. You didn't even have to ask and feel all ashamed. What a blessing that is. Work will carry on without you. Yes, they're disappointed, but imagine how they'd feel if you hurt yourself from returning too soon and need 5 weeks off as a result! You've made my day, great news!
