Brown Discharge

Does anyone have a problem now with discharge after having a hysterectomy? i had mine four years ago, and for some reason have had a brown discharge now and again, but most days this week.. yet the nurse finds nothing each time i go there... so bad smell, but i have a feeling of a period about to start. you know, the aches in back, legs and tummy.. Its starting to get me down now as they cannot find what is wrong. was told last night that this can happen to people who have had this op, but i havent spoken to anyone who has!
Has anyone else heard of this????

Brown Discharge

I'm sorry you're having this problem and even more sorry you have no answers ~ yet!

My initial thought was possible "mini-periods" but I see, in your profile, that you didn't keep your ovaries or cervix? If that's the case then it can't be mini-periods.

I think you're taking HRT? Hormones aren't my strong point, but I have read that it's possible to experience "breakthrough bleeding" whilst taking HRT.

You mention a nurse, but have you actually seen a doctor? If you have, then a second opinion would be a good idea.

I hope you're able to find answers very soon. Take care!

Second opinion

Thank you for your message the nurse i mention is a nurse praticioner, so she has alot of things she can do.. but when i get my results next week im going to go and see the GP... its driving me nuts!
so much easier to deal with something when you know what it is and what is causing it... i just hate this not knowing!

Im on a low dose of HRT and would have liked to not take it but hate the flushes lol.

And i thought having the Hysterectomy would end my problems!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmm

If we did re turn as someone else when die, id come back a man LOL
