Swelly Belly and Colder Weather!

Hey Gals,

I'm 10 weeks post-op and still have the swollen lower belly. I have mostly been wearing cotton or linen capri pants with elastic waist. Now that cold weather is upon us, my "button" pants fit everywhere until they get to that belly area. Any suggestions? I'm getting cold. Ha Ha!

Thanks.

right now I am trying to find out what I can do to get rid of the "twinkie" above my incision. I have yet to try n my reg. pants yet because I am still sore. More these past couple of days. there is a sight on here that gives you exercise ideas at certain post-op weeks. You'll have to look around I can't remember where it is.

I actually had to order some elastic waist pants to get me through. I hope they will be just temporary but some of the ladies on here told me that is how they got through.

I remember reading about gentle tummy exercises at the 5-6 week checkpoint. I'm at 7 weeks post op and belly is still swollen and very sore, and sometimes feels like it's being pulled really tight, right under the incision, internally. Do others feel that?

I'm 7 weeks post op and bought a second pair of black pants in a size 6 maternity. They have a lot of nice detail, fit well on the butt and legs with a flare at the bottom. Got them at Target for $12 on sale. I also bought a pair of jeans early on for $40 at Khols, also maternity. NO ONE can ever tell they are maternity! I wear shirts or any top over the waist and they fit close everywhere else with no buttons/zippers on the belly. They are so comfy that I wear them around the house too. Try some on next time you are out shopping, you'll be surprised.

I snagged several pair of really cute elastic waist band trousers from Shopko, of all places!!! I bought a couple of cotton "zoot suit" slacks as DH calls em. Its nice to look pretty again without stressing out my irritated tummy!!!
