colorectal surgeon tomorrow!!! (update)

I had the colorectal appointment and he said it was a gyn. problem. I went to see my dr. right after that and my dr. said he knows it's a gyn. problem but he wanted col. surgeon there as he suspects endo and or adhesions on or near by colon. The hospital my surgeon works at doesn't have col. surgeons there. So, he refered me to a gyn. in south miami. My dr. called this dr. and he agreed w/ my dr. I called him that evening and he disagreed and said I don't need surgery and he needs to give me a lupron shot! Which I already had and didn't work and I only wanted him to do the surgery b/c of the situation I never wanted to change gyn.'s So my dh and I go back to my dr. and he says he will do the surgery and has a team of surgeons w/ him in case there is a colon threat there. The surgeons aren't colorectal surgeons. My surgery date is Nov.29th Wow, 2 weeks. I am in pain I hope this surgery does the trick. I do feel a bit nervous though...........
I'd love to hear from a sister now!

surgery questions?

Hi, I have a question. As you can see on my signature I've had a tah and a abd. bso. All in o7 I was wondering if I will be in the same pain w/ this surgery as I was before? I don't know what all he is gonna do until he gets in there. He is doing a exp. laparotomy using the same incision as before?

Thanks sisters

colorectal surgeon tomorrow!!! (update)

I'm definately having my share of probs too, and i want to give you a big hug. As far as pain, I wouldn't spend time worrying about degrees and severity's. You'll have pain pills, and when you hurt, take them. Just be careful as they are sooooooo constipating, the evil little things. Drink a lot, take fiber caps, milk of mag, or whatever your doc suggests. Take this seriously. Hang in there in the meantime. Hey, tell us about this job that you love.
