3 months post...still have pain - anyone else?

I'm almost two months and just frustrated. I went back to work last week and with leaving early and going in late, I am surprised I still have a job. It just hurts so much after working all day...and I have a desk job. I don't have any desire to do anything. I am dreading thanksgiving and the six hour trip we have to take. If I wasn't on antidepressants I'm sure I'd be crying and even more depressed. Blah! And to hear that I have seven more months of this?
Ok that's enough venting for now.
Thanks for listening and understanding

Hey Mel !

Wow you are brave to go back to work so early! I know where i was at two months, and I wouldn't be going anywhere. You need to find some time to rest and relax a bit, although I know how tough it is to find that time for yourself. Do you have to go on a six hour trip? Can you cut back your days abit more at work? Time goes by and you will feel better, the whole time isn't the same level of pain, no worries! I am at 3 months and feel pretty good, although i will not move anything heavy or do any fast twisting or moving. We have to look after ourselves right? All the power to ya , friend!

Hey cherryblossom67! You have sure moved around eh? You must be in your late 40's? Yes i am in Thunder bay, probably dumb to actually say that! lol! You were fairly close in your guessing! HOw old are your boys? I have two teens, a girl and a boy, good kids, typical teens. Life is fun and busy! Up and down all the time! Are you back to work or still taking time off? I am not working at the moment, but will be going to college in January, and hopefully by that time, I will be further along than we are now! Keep smiling friend! Good to chat with you!

Hi again pace, just one more email check before bed. I turn 40 exactly a month tomorrow so lets not rush the next decade shall we? lol. My boys are 18 and 13, mine are good kids too. I quit my hospital position after 10 yrs for good just before the surgery and am looking into pharmacy work, perhaps ride out the winter first. Was a very heavy patient load on the chronic care floor and don't know how I could have gone back at 8 wks post-op?? If it's any consolation I am in Gravenhurst, now we are both found, lol. Good night and hope to chat er up again soon, Cris

"Its hard on us when we think we are doing well and recovering, almost done at it, and then we are struck back a few steps! I guess it takes alot longer than any of us expected!"

i am 5 weeks out from surgery and feeling this way. to hear you guys are still going through the same thing at three months out, and still not comfortable in jeans, is so depressing! i can fit in my jeans but they are way too uncomfortable. i LIVE in my jeans so i can't wait to get back into them. and i can't wait to just feel normal again. i guess i'll be waiting longer than i expected, or than the doctor told me. grrrrr..... ~goosey

Hello there Goosey! Well its not all that bad, i guess we won't be doing crazy thngs but its better all the time. Five weeks out is pretty early still, so just be patient. That was a major operation too, its only fair to let yourself heal from it all! Depends on the individual too, we are all different so don't get too depressed. I would not force myself into jeans until i feel "no pain" !! That will not help at all, just ask cherryblossom67 , who went shopping for 2 days pressed into her jeans!
Anyway, be good to yourself, its all going to be just fine!

Morning ladies.....we must not forget our different reasons for having hysterectomies, in my case it was cervical cancer so....the pros definately outweigh the cons for me and I will proudly wear my sweats for as long as I have to and not try to squeeze into my jeans and feel badly about how tight they are anymore. And Goosey, you are still "fresh" out of surgery so please be kind to your mind and body.....your day will come and your jeans shall fit again!!! (hopefully mine too, ha) Keep your feet up and take care.

I'm four months out and life is back to normal. I can wear what I want and do what I want. Days go by when I don't even think about having had surgery. It does get better, slowly but surely!
