My belly is still tender as well. I just do not wear my seatbelt even though I know I should. As for working, I went back after four weeks which was way to soon (even for an office job) and after the first week and a half I just hit a wall and spent the rest of the week at home in bed. At least you have taken the time to heal more properly. As to a sitting job, my job is office work and I find it helps me to get up and move around every so often, go send a fax, make copies, whatever to just get up and move. Sorry but I cannot help you with the other issue, that is the only thing I have been lucky with.

HonkGoosey and Brinaboo,
Thanks so much for your sharing. Fortunately I have a sympathetic boss who knows and encourages me to take breaks.
Nicole, maybe you should talk with your doctor about adjusting or changing your HRT. Premarin worked for me from the start and I am grateful, but I've also been on Welbutrin for a couple years, and I'm sure that helps keep the depression at bay.
I'm also so grateful to all you Hyster Sisters for being there for me )

Hi~! I had to say "HI" to this post. I had my surgery on oct 23. I am so very tired all of time. I was glad to read that you are feeling the same way. I know people say it will take time, but I have never been real patient about sitting still. I am hoping for ENERGY soon!
So good to know I am not alone!

Hi
I am 10 weeks post op and still so tired. I have had pain in my lower right abdomen for a week and not sure whats causing it. It still hurts to cough and my belly swells frequently. I too feel like I will never be the same. I'm so tired of being tired and in pain. I'm sure there is light at the end of the tunnel, but its a mighty long tunnel!!

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to say that is so nice to read through here and know that I'm not alone! I'm still having pain at the end of the day almost everyday! And I'm soooo tired all the time, I would love some energy as well!

It does give me hope though to know it gets better!

I have a doctors appointment on Monday so it's good to read and know that what I'm experiencing is normal. Thanks everyone! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Hey Cris how's things?

I am now officially at the 3 month mark, just past it i guess, and I have to say i feel great! I still feel a bit of achiness if i stand too much, but nothing to worry about. Of course some days are better than others, but they are farther apart now. Time is a healer for sure! Emotionally, I have to say, I have never felt better!! I almost feel like before surgery, I had was way too emotional and would "hold on" to things too much. Now, i feel much more focused, of course i do have emotional reactions but i deal with those and move on, rather than dwell on them. I just feel so great, and have a much more clear inner happiness. I hope all the best for the rest of you! Hang in there girls, try to stay positive and know that you will return to a better you!

Pace,
It's reports like yours that give us all hope!
I'm back to work today, and just half days for a few days. It's been 9 weeks - I hope I remember my job! I woke up feeling like I'm getting a cold..
Blessings...

Well all the posts i have read from one week onward postop, I have been there and felt like it would always be the same. I just want you all to know that you will feel better, it was a big surgery and time is needed to heal. Incisions, and whatever goes on inside, is not like scratching your knee, and requires much more time and rest to get better. It really does take patience and you have to understand that you are healing in "layers", and progression will be slow, but steady. There will be aches and pains, ups and downs, but after awhile it all works out well. Just have faith, and take the word of someone that has been there! Good luck!
