Good luck!

I don't have advice about the appearance of your incision. However, I do have a nice tip about using the bathroom. I used to roll up a thick bath towel to put against my lower abdomen. Then I would lean forward against it when using the toilet. It helped pack in my abdomen and prevent strain. - Dawn

I had my hyst in April and the right side of my incision was kind of puckered? I developed an infection and the doctor wound up opening my incision so she could clean my wound... ,i developed an incisional hernia because it didnt heal properly,it looked like a mouth when it did finally heal, I had the hernia repaired, 1 week ago, I looked at my incision and its a nice clean straight thin line. he used steri strips and put taga derm on top of them. My incision is much larger than the hyster incision because the wound infection was pretty deep. Just keep an eye on it, over time it will heal real nice

I actually scheduled my tummy tuck, so it was planned. If you are asking why your Dr ended up doing a tummy tuck also, I don't know. If you're asking about wearing the garmet for three weeks, I am getting a little tired of wearing the garmet also. Today it has been three weeks and I tried going without it this morning, but I started feeling swollen, so I have it back on. Although I did get the chance to wash it during that time. ;O)
From what I've been told, the swelling will be a regular occurence for a while, so just count on it. I also go to a board called makemeheal dot com, they have a tummy tuck forum there and they have suggestions for the swelling.
Best of luck!
