3 months and counting...

I just realized that I've passed the 3 month "anniversary" of my TAH/BSO. Having this was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. So much more freedom and not planning my life around my periods anymore.

Best of all, I'm feeling better and with more energy than I've had in years. I have an occasional twinge if I stretch or overdo it too much, but otherwise, nothing.

Probably more important--before, I'd get busy and never seemed to be up to date on physicals and other medical necessities, but now, I am motivated to have all these things done. Since my hyst on Aug 8th, I've had a mammo, a colonoscopy, a regular physical and I'm just heading off for a bone density scan (my new internist suggested getting a baseline bone density scan after having a hyst).

So, despite a uterine cancer (early stage) diagnosis, I'm feeling good and have some peace of mind on other medical issues.
