I am also using the Vivelle Dot, and I love it. I feel very well and do have lots of energy. I have been able to lose weight while on it. It's not a magic hormone of any kind, so I still have to diet and exercise.

When my estrogen levels were very low, and I started HRT , I began noticing a difference within a couple of days, but it may take a while for your body to adjust to getting its estrogen from it's new source. It can also take about 6 weeks for our bodies to feel the full effect of any dose change.

It is wise before adding other hormones, to first find the best dose of estrogen for you. With tweaking only every 6 weeks, that can take a while for some of us. For others, the first dose they try is the perfect one for them Once you find the right dose of estrogen, then if you need it, you might add in progesterone or testosterone, or at a time.

I hope you start feeling better real soon, and will be able to get some good sleep

Vivelle Dot please help...

I have been using the Vivelle Dot patch for 1 year. I saw improvement of my menopausal symptoms on day 1. I was one of the lucky 1's, my dose was just what I needed and I have not had to change it. I was on Premarin about 6-7 months prior to the patch. I gained weight while on Premarin but I realize that not everyone does. I stopped gaining after changing to the patch and lost about 10 lbs in the spring of this year. I could probably lose more (and need to), but I don't always eat healthy and my exercise habits are sporadic. Also, it is nice to put the patch on and forget about it rather than having to take a pill daily (for me it is one less pill because I take meds for my blood pressure). It really helped my sleep and depression. I can't say enough good things about the Vivelle Dot patch. So far I have not had the need to add progesterone or testosterone. Best of luck to you.

Vivelle Dot please help...

HI .... i liked the vivelle dot but here was my experience:
I tried the Vivelle dot for 4 weeks only - some headaches, not alot tho while on it. I stopped cuz gained 15 the last 3 weeks - was excercising SOME - so couldve prob done more but did not change my eating habits at all and eat pretty healthy and watch calories. i DID however FEEL much better - no flashes and slept great - had more energy. when took off finally due to still increasing weight gain - had first migraine ever - lasted few hours. so was huge detterant to try it again, now back to herbal. I was on the 0.05.
for what its worth

Vivelle Dot please help...

I am on the .05 and started to gain a bit but then got it under control and then lost and now I am under where I was.
I still am having sleep problems but no more flashes! But weirdly I got back my blood work and it says er, I have no estrodiol. But then again, I have no adrenals so no reserves whatseover.
My biggest problem is trying to get the darn thing off... getting off the residue. I can at least tell where they have been by the red spots that linger.
