My doctor said that some times the stitches are yellow. Some are white, but will turn yellow, because of body fluids. Hope this helps. It is probably dissolving stitches.

I read somewhere on here that if you bled much during your surgery, it could be old blood that is causing your discharge, as it exits the body. Wonder if that is what happened in your case.

I also sometimes have pain at the end of urinating. Similar to UTI pain, but it's only at the very end.

Riverbank and DisneyRocks: Not sure if this service is available to you where you live but do you have a public health nurse or telehealth line you can call and talk to a nurse about your condition and see if they can make any suggestions.

I still say Riverbank get to the GYNO right away but if you can't get hold of the doctor, get some type of medical advice from a medical professional.

Hi -- had TVH, A&P repair, bladder sling, etc... Went to my doctor at 3.5 weeks and said everything looking good. Last night, husband got me in an amorous mood. He pulled out my magic want vib. and just touched me on the outside clitoral area (not anywhere near the vaginal opening) for about a minute and I had a very strong O. with what felt to be contractions. I thought since I lost my uterus I would not feel those!

About 5 minutes after the O I got this VERY painful, stinging and pulling sensation kinda high up -- if I squeeze like I am doing a kegel exercise it hurts worse. The pain continues to hurt today. And it is odd because I is like just slightly off center to the left and kinda radiates down to the left outside of the vagina.

So -- although I am really really glad I can still have O's and still feel those contractions I am worried I pulled something.

Anyone else have a stinging and pulling pain -- without or without the O ?

3 weeks after surgery

Had partial VH on Nov.15. Like many of you, I did too much too soon. Went back to work 11 days post op, worked 2 days (mostly sitting) but that was too much. Came home, stayed off my feet for 5 days. Have been spotting every day since surg. but this morning had bright red burst of blood on my pantyshield which really scared me. Called Dr. & she said this is probably some clotting around V.Cuff that is releasing. I am in bed now, off my feet again so as not to overdo again! When will this end?? I am so ready to be my busy self again!

Renee,
I had LSH and bladder surgery the same day as you. I also was given the go ahead on Friday the 7th. The big "O" worked for me too, but I am sore. And hubby was very gentle. I have some stinging and a feeling of fullness? like I have an XL tampon stuck, lol. We'll have to see what happens next time I suppose )

Hi All, Haven't checked in here for a while. I'm glad to see others talking about the "big O". We were released for "hanky panky" as the Dr. put it. I cried cause I still work and even better than before. I didn't realize how worried I was about not being able to "work" any more. I'm still emotional about it! Anyway, considering what our muscles and other stuff has gone through it's no wonder an orgasm would cause muscle pain. It has to be ok or our doctors wouldn't have released us. I would think that as long as there is no bleeding things should be ok. After the first few hours after I felt much better and I just know I have to go slow.

On another thought....is anyone having crying issues? I am feeling much better physically. Mentally.....another story. I take anti-depressants. I have for about 4 years. I haven't cried much in that time. Now the frozen chicken was stuck together and I cried for an hour. Not just a tear but rivers. I really want to be in control and can't really figure out whats bugging me. Just boohooing. And I still have my ovaries. If I take anti-depressants is there anything else that can be done? What else is there? Hormones? Can I take both?

Talk to ya'll later. jenny
