I had dr appt today. The dr said that I am all healed up inside and I can have sex again. Boy DH will be happy. I have been having a lot of breast tenderness which i only ever had when I was pregnant. He said that is normal around ovulation and around your period time. I also have to go back in February to have an ultrasound because he was supposed to take out my left ovary and tube but couldnt reach it because I has aTVH and it was up too high. So i will probably be having day surgery in a few months to remove that ovary. I also asked him about my back. I have been having terrible back pain lately. He said that it was probably from the position during surgery and should go away with time. if it doesnt to come back and see him.

I am comming up on 4 weeks I do not see my Dr until next week. I have been doing as much as I can to allow healing I do understand that for every two steps I get ahead I have one backwards it gets a tiny bit frustrating. When I walk to much I get really sore also causing spotting nothing heavy or bad just enough to say hey you have pushed the limits, and still puts me back on the couch for about a day and a night. . I am taking it day by day but I am hoping this ends soon as my work and job have to do with walking and lifting up to and above 50 pounds. This is only a few weeks away.
DH and I have discussed release for Sex and how we are going to deal with this when we are released. We have planned a romantic date going out to dinner and just taking our time like we are starting a new relationship. It seems that we will be really due to the problems before the surgery that have kept us appart for almost 2 years. We are very close in every way and talk about everything so this seems to be the way to handle the next step of recovery as well.

Taiggur.
I've had a boss like that! It makes work so difficult. I'd say continue to be firm in working just the two hours that you've told them you can do. About the timeline, send her an email that just says, "When does this need to be completed?" so that she can't get sidelined on any other topic in the email.
Good luck!

Hi All. Thought I'd post an update today. I've been dealing with crying this past weekend. I seem to finally be doing better emotionally. Physically I'm recovering well. Yesterday I worked through a ton of laundry and cleaned some things. I started to feel stiff in the incision so I stopped. We went to the zoo to see the lights before Christmas they have every year. It was cold and damp. I rented a wheelchair. I am so glad I did that! Even with the wheelchair I got reeeaaal tired and very cold. The cold made my incision hurt so when I got home I used the heating pad and took some tylenol pm. I actually feel good today. I was worried last night about how I would feel. I'm just kicking back, reading and putzing around the house. So glad I didn't go back to work this week. I had wanted too but all advice I heard was to rest and heal. That is hard for me to do without huge guilt and I think that had a lot to do with all the crying. Life will go on without me so I need to RELAX! Truth is I wouldn't be able to make it through a day at this point. Though I do feel SO much better. I don't want to discourage anyone who reads these posts. I still think this was the best decision I made, I just have to heal. I know there will be great relief soon. I was told 6 weeks and I have to settle down and heal. I'm rambling....Hope all of you are having a peaceful day. jenny

That's probably a good idea. Sex actually went pretty well. I was a bit sore, but thought that since I'd had a pelvic exam at my 3 week check up and all was good, I'd go for it

pressure/pain

I'm 3 1/2 post op from TAH (11/16) & I've been having pain after urinating--not typical uti pain. Today I'm feeling pressure as if something is "down there." I called the Dr. & they said that I need to come in and get checked out before my follow-up on the 19th. I'll be going in on Thursday at 9:30. The thought of an internal exam makes me cringe. I'm so worried that something is wrong with my bladder. Has anyone else had this kind of pain/pressure? I'm really worried. I'm so ready to be back to normal--I'm so bored, and now I'm boohooing because I'm thinking this may be a set-back.
