Question about intimacy

Hello everyone, I had 2 surgeries. One on Sept 5 and the other on Sept. 24. The best thing to do is ask your doctor. I did and she said no sex until 8 weeks out, but at 6 weeks I could have stimulation with orgasim just no penetration until 8 weeks. By the way what is a cuff? I don't think I have one but just want to make sure.....

Question about intimacy

on 8/24 I had a mass & tumor removed from my labia, it was like a big grapfruit down there & I had stiches from front to back for 3 weeks!!!! Boy did they ever hurt. They were worse than the staples I had from hyst. on 10/17. I had TAH/BSO, they took it all! fortunately every thing was benign.

Question about intimacy

I'm glad everything is doing well for you now...I was going nuts too for weeks about the big o. I was scared that I would hemorrage again but afterwards it was great. No pain but still haven't penetrated yet. My dh and I found other ways to ( complement) each other..

Question about intimacy

Wondering what kind of operation you had to put things back in order. I just had my 6 m. post of checkup and I only saw the nurse pr. I was afraid of a vaginal prolapse but she said it was ok. I know I felt something fall down when I had my first BM but still don't know what it was.. Good luck on your healing.[/quote]
If your asking how they put me back together, then it is fairly easy to explain. They cut open the rest of the vaginal cuff that hadn't tore and had to reattach some ligament that had tore, then they had to remove some of the tissue of the cuff that started to heal and then stitch me back up. I should say that I am a little different in that my original surgery took out more than the normal. I had most of the ligaments and tendons surrounding my uterus removed also. This gave them less to use when they sewed me up. If I would have known that I never would have taken advantage of my DH. I think everyone is different thats why we should follow dr's orders. I guess I am just a really slow healer. I do go back on Dec.17th I think and maybe she will give the ok. I doubt it though. She told my hubby no poking around in there for at least 8 more weeks! She said she put non dissolving stitches in there so it will poke him back if he does!

Question about intimacy

I am a slow healer too.. Did you have everything taken out or just some? I am so glad I found this site...I was going crazy as to what to expect...Thank all the women for there input.. I hope mabey you'll heal faster so you can before the 8 weeks...I heard so many scary stories about how your sex drive would go away but mine has seemed to intensify..My dh says it's like when we were first married. Been married almost 22 years this july...It's great to have that drive back....I'm 38 soon to be 39 on the 21st...Happy Birthday to me it will be my 8 weeks on the 19th....Go figure.....

Question about intimacy

Janelle, thank for explaning. I thought that the whole thing had colapsed. That is the way mine felt but the nurse P told me it was fine. If it was not that then it was something else. Guess an ultra sound will know. I was fused at the bottom tho and it hurt like the dickens when she opened it. Not sure what caused it.
Funny about being pocked back if...
