December 11th club - Hi Everyone!

How is everyone feeling?

I went out and danced till 2.lol we had a lovely time, but the knock on effect of that is that i couldnt sleep last night.

finding it hard to sit still for long at all, but figure - I've got plenty of time for that after next week.

..but sooooooooo tired now.

has anyone got any tips for relaxing enough to get to sleep, and then when you wake up 5am, to get back to sleep...

smiles

I am so glad you enjoyed your night out. I have not had any trouble sleeping yet. I stay busy so at night I'm tired and have to sleep. But, I'm sure this weekend will be a different thing.

Hi Ladies,
See everyone is still busy. I think I will be up to surgery.

Elli- Glad you were able to dance the night away. Hope sleep finds you soon.

Stanglvr- Are you as calm as you sound? If so good for you.

Well ladies have to go and for those who get to go back to sleep at 5am thats my getting up time, so I am no help on how to get back to sleep at that hour ( wish I could )

Not calm

Joy49, Calm at this point is not in my vocabulary. I'm losing it slowly. Thank God for having a job, it keeps me busy most of the day. I have my pre-op Thursday and I am going to ask for some drugs to get through the weekend.

December 11th club - Hi Everyone!

i am tired now...just home from school and it's 10 pm here! Just had to get everything tidy, and ready for my replacement - luckily i know her, but what pressure making sure all those things which get left and brushed under the carpet will be laid bare..lol

I didn't realise how much I did, that no one else does, if you know what i mean..having to leave instructions for everything- and it all involves 5 different adults. beginning to look forward to Tuesday for a rest.

Not sure why, but don't feel too worried right now-think because i don't really believe it's going to happen - i havent had the waiting that some people have, and with all the uncertaintly at the hospital, well, it's all going too smoothly ..

still got to get through a school Christmas dinner yet..may never make surgery..lol

December 11th club - Hi Everyone!

Well got parents up to help and gradually take over. Have a disabled foster son who every morning has crawled into bed and said " I don't want you to go into hospital". He spent two years in one from birth. Thinks I'm not going to come back. His Mum left him. God this is so hard sometimes.

December 11th club - Hi Everyone!

bless him. had similar problems with my just 18 yr old son, living at home. I didnt realise how worried he was..there supposed to be adults by then - not true.

said he didnt know what he'd do if something happened to me..his girlfriend has gone to uni. and he'll be on his own in the house while im in hospital...need to sort that.

he went out and had a few drinks last night, and i had him in tears till1 this morning. don't know what to say, he's so sweet.wants to be with me, but not sure thats a good thing-dont really want him to see me when im first out of op.

im not down about it all, dont know where all the worries are coming from.

just a few days now, we'll be back before they know we've gone..

been to pre-op-told i should have 12 weeks off, been planning for 8-oops.
