It's nice to know I will no longer have a period

Hi Princess G

I know how you feel, my period would have been last week and I didn't trully believe they had actually taken my uterus and cervix away until nothing happened ( I know that sounds silly). No more heavy bleeding, no more clots and that smell

It might have been painful at times but boy I'm sure it will be worth it. I also had cystocele so living without that feels much better as well.

Take Care

It's nice to know I will no longer have a period

I am also thrilled to not have my period. I think I am also a little in denial that my uterus and cervix were removed but when I dont have that monthly reminder I believe then I will get over this mini-denial. Mine would have been in two weeks so we will see then.

I am concerned however that since I kept my ovaries that I will still have PMS because the hormones are still there. Has anyone noticed a decrease in PMS symptoms with ovaries in tact?

I have my ovaries and I go through all the other stuff related to the cycle other than the actual period, unfortunately. But it's easy enough to cope with

I have not come to terms with this yet. Still in disbeilef. I even still expect it when I wipe. Around this time of the month my breasts also kill. It must know this used to be ovulation time.

It's nice to know I will no longer have a period

I told the doctor today I still check to see if I am bleeding, he said its 6 weeks you should be OK I said no I still check to see if I have my period, I was so used to bleeding all the time. I really haven't even spotted or had much of a discharge since the surgery, and today I was in the store looking at white slacks, when I am ready to buy new slacks I will get some whites ones just because I don't have to worry anymore!!! I still wnat to lose another 20 pounds before I buy any slacks.

Today I did notice I was a bit sensitive but I thought it was due to the surgery and all, but now I think it's the pms, I tell you if thats the only symptom I'll have I feel blessed.
I hope you all feel great.

It's GREAT not having a period. No more planning around "that time" and then having it happen when you least expected it!
