Weight gain concerns

Hey, I am right there with all of you. I weigh almost same as when I had surgery but swelly belly is awful. Some days I look 5 months pregnant. Can only wear pants that I had that set below the waist. I hate to have to buy new clothes.
Does it ever go away?
I can't believe after ten weeks there would still be air in there!!!!! I used to do WW but haven't had to for a couple of years. I guess I will start counting points.
This is sooooooooo depressing. DH needs to lose about 60 I guess that is something we can do together..............
If anyone knows of an exercise or anything that would help, please let me know.

Weight gain concerns

I'm 4 months post-op and have rapidly been packing on the weight. I have changed NOTHING in what I do. I still eat little and still don't exercise. I need to find the motivation to lose the weight and I should because I'm only 5' and over weight doesn't suit me well. Good luck to everyone else out there!!!

HMMM......i've done a survey of all of my friends/relly's/aquaintances, who've had hysters...........and ALL except one has a beer belly, irrespective of their size (and some are many years post-hyster). now, the one who doesn't have a beer belly had hers done 30 years ago, and that was in the days when you stayed in bed for a week, then 3 days up before going home from the castle. nowadays, its outta bed, ripping the abdominal muscles, and whatever's been chopped/sewn inside, and you gotta admit, even through the painkillers it hurts and burns like hell. so, i reckon it does permanent damage to your gutz, and its impossible to get it all back together afterwards???? whaddya reckon about that theory??? hmmm...........NOT HAPPY ! ! ............gee.

As far as I can tell, as we go through menopause we need to do more to stop weight gain than when we were younger.
I don't know if you had a BSO, but if you are having hot flashes you might be interested to read this, especially the section "what a hot flash really is"
