Gallbladder problems after hysterecotomy?

Ladies ~ I lived like this for years, belching in pain all the things you described. Soooo many sleepless nights from attacks. Mine also was so large that there was a bulge in my upper right quadrant. So the moral of my story for me was that when I finally had it out I could have kicked myself for waiting so long. Like I said above at least for me it was a piece of cake and I felt tremendously better afterword. So I'll leave you ladies with the message my obgyn told me when he was encouraging my hyster - he said Starbgirl, no one should have to live like you've been living - no one!!

So don't wait forever. give yourself another gift of health!!

Cheers,

Starbgirl

Gallbladder problems after hysterecotomy?

OH my gosh stop the sleepless nights of pain. Ask for some pills in the er
I couldn't tell you the name of them at all but know that withing 5 minutes of taking it I felt way better.
My first attack felt like somone shoving a basket ball up inside my ribs we had no idea what it was and called an ambulance. they thought heart attack but withing minutes of being at ER the doc nw andgave me ashot.
My next attack we drove to er and she gave me a shot and then a packet of the pills
RUN to the nearest doc and ask for the pills till you can get your surgery.
Mine was laproscopic 3 little holes well one was about an inch cause they were very close to having to open me right up and do it the old way but with work they got it out.
Next day was painful like someone drove over my chest then after that I was all good

Gallbladder problems after hysterecotomy?

Wow..........Ladies.............Thank you so much!! Nice to know I am not alone in this. Sounds like there is enough of us to spin off another site............gallbladdersisters.com

The doc did give me some pills for the indigetstion and they worked well this weekend. But I am sure it is just a temporary fix. I am planning on calling for the ultrasound appointment first thing this morning.

Thanks again for all the input and enjoy your Thanksgiving. For those of us that still have ours in, eat carefully!!

Gallbladder problems after hysterecotomy?

this all sounds so scary to me as I am reading it. I had a full hyterectomy on 9/18/07 , and have had this pain ever since. I did go back to my PA and she said it was bruised ribs from the surgery since I also had a bladder sling put in along with a hernia surgery done all at the same time. Well it's been two months now and that same pain, exact place continues to hurt here and there. It is usally after I eat or when I am really hungry if that makes any sense. Very worried now if I have to look back into surgery, I don't have the time or money

Gallbladder problems after hysterecotomy?

I had a TVH on Sept. 4 and was diagnosed on Nov. 7 with Gallstones and Diverticulitis, my Dr. says I need surgery. So it looks like I'm heading back to the castle soon, I'll find out in a week. As for the Diveritculitis that's another issue and I'm still waiting to hear what my Dr. wants to do about that. I'm sick of having to take pain killers everyday. Good Luck to you with your gallbladder issues.
