I have had a pain in my left inner thy it feels like someone frogged me there. It's not as bad now but I think maybe I pulled a muscle since I have been trying to not use my regular way of getting off the couch.

Aww...I'm sorry that you all haven't been getting your questions answered.

I have been on more lately late at night since I can't seem to sleep. I'll try to answer anything that I can. It looks like we are all pretty close with our dates.

Monday will be my 6th week and I haven't seen any signs of stitches and I haven't had any discharge.

I do over do it still like tonight I did the dishes and cleaned the sink. I must have scrubbed too hard because by the time I was done I felt sick and had to sit down.

I'm glad it's coming along but ugh.....

Just to respond to all the "stitches" questions. I did not see any stitches until about an hour before my 6 week check up appt. Since then there have been at least one a day. DH laughed at me because I wasn't sure what it was, it looked like when the puppy had worms(without the poo).

Good Morning :
Today is 6 weeks since me TAH, I get exhausted when I drive or walk.
Yesterday was a bad day for me, as you know 2 weeks ago my boss hinted my job may not be around for my return date on 1/7.
Anyway he has been acting strange refusing to say definitely if my job is there or not-by refusing to give a schedule etc. New Yeard Eve the disability rep wanted to verify if I will be returning to work and needed my schedule. I told the rep despite numerous attempts my boss is not reach able, the disability had no luck reaching him.
I finally caught him and asked him about my job status .He got vindictive and wanted me to work a 6 day work 2 weeks straight in a row from 4:45am-1:15pm. Which involved lifting a heavy gate and handling boxes -I would be alone until 8am .
I mentioned to him my doctor mention for the first 2 week to do heavy works I would need to ease in . Then my boss showed his true colors curses me out on the phone and remarks" Isnt nice I had a 6 week paid vacation"
I was shocked he referred to my medical leave as a 6 week paid vacation. Today is my last pay, thank goodness for direct deposit.
I promptly contacted my Genral Manager ASAP about my situation-he is young guy and was horrified. He intervened on my behalf and adjusted my schedule to Monday,Wednesday and Thursday from 7am-2:30pm which markedly effects my benefits etc.
Before my medical leave I was assured my position will be there and accomdations will be made upon my return. My job is very physically I stand on my feet all days, handle heavy boxes of shipments of books, lifting heavy tin boxes from the safe, opening heavy gates etc.
My general manager warned me that my manager can terminate me at will this week. Yesterday until 6:45pm my manger called my house 4 times harrasing me- I made documentation and will pursue action.
My boss stells dont be to comfortable becuase this week will be my last week.
I consulted an attorney- I was told it is not unusual employers will push out employees returning from medical or maternery
leave.
Good thing I have been sending out resumes - I have 2 places inerested in me -I have an interview with a Market reserach firm Tuesday and yesterday my old stcokerbrokerage who always call me wants me back. I use to sell stock and reallyenjoyed it. It i sthe 3 rd time they called me --I did some work for them back in August in their proxy department.

This looks like a lawsuit to me. However, I hope a new job becomes available for you. Good luck!

My new mantra is " I Believe in Happy Endings"--It happens to be Danielle Steel advertising for her perfume.
I was shocked , I never had any problems with him or my job , never absent, never late, work every weekend as well as weekdays, work holidays , worked above and beyond. I will take the high road and follow through with legal action--in the meantime I am hopeful a new job comes soon.
I always say trsut your gut, because I had a bad feeling when my manager's behaviors changed and no calls from the job . Also when I called my co workers would say we are surprised you called becuase they were told I wasnt returning. Which I found strange. Hysterectomies really change our lives, in my case I became stronger emotionally, spiritually and everyday is a new lesson. Last night I went out for dinner and had a good time. Believe me needed something fun to do after what happened yesterday. Today is a new day , Iam positive something good will happen.

I have also noticed pain if I try to wear something too tight. My Dr yesterday said, swelling can take up to a year. So don't buy those tight leathers yet.

Same here, wow it's amazing how we look forward to the 6 weeks being up but really we have about a year to fully recover.

Contessa,
I'm sos sorry that you are going through this with your work it does sound like you have some actions you can take and I would. Best of luck to you and yes when one door closes another one opens.

Contessa,
Take care of yourself first! I will be praying that things will ease up for you and you will find a new job.

Caktkk: Are you kidding me? A year??? I thought my belly would be flat after my doc took out 16 week sized uterus and grapefruit sized fibroid sitting on top of it, but nooooo....my belly is still big!!!!!
