I wouldn't do it.

Your son is an adult. He can take a train, bus or hitch a ride with a friend.

Just my two cents worth.

no driving? Is the consequence really that bad??

At my 7 day check up, the doc said it was okay to drive, just not crash! So I drive for short trips when I have to. It is hard being stuck at home when so many things are going on. My recovery is going great and I feel much better with just minor pains and some tiredness. I had a TAV and removal of large fibroids on 11/8. But best thing to do is listen to your doc. They know your case best. Good luck.

thanks everyone

Hi ladies, just want to thank each one of you who replied to my inquiry regarding my 'driving issue'.... it really did help. First of all, i am not on any meds.. but even though this is the case, I still made arrangements for someone to do it for me..if it does involve driving... next week is my first post-op check up @ my doctor's. I can't wait. Hope everyone is feeling fine.. regards to all!

Now is certainly not the time to take chances with your health! You really do only get this one chance to heal properly. Perhaps your son could take a bus to see you, fares aren't that expensive, and it would certainly save you a great deal of potential heartache and pain!
