Have I been doing to much?

WARNING! WARNING! I think you are overdoing it & need to backpedal FAST! I was feeling pretty good the 1st 2 weeks (& had received absolutely NO instructions from the surgeon after surgery or from the hospital at discharge); during the 3rd week I did more things & I was in TERRIBLE PAIN for days!

Guess what? When I called the surgeon's office I was told that the pain "has nothing to do with the surgery". LOL! Luckily, another woman I knew directed me to this web site! I found the "recovery guidelines" & have been focusing on MY recovery needs (with the support of spouse & family-- thank goodness)! Btw, at my post-op check-up the surgeon apologized & explained that I had "slipped through the cracks", yada, yada.

At EXACTLY 8 weeks, I felt nearly normal. I absolutely could not have returned to work before then. I strongly recommend that you allow yourself this time to heal completely.

SLOW DOWN; take it easy; good luck....
