Question about Climara patch glue

Hi everyone,

I'm new to all this. I had my first patch right after surgery (TAH Nov 7). Tomorrow I will apply my third. I change every Monday night. I am using Climara.

I have a question about the glue. I found that after I removed the first patch I applied I had a ring of glue on my skin. Is this normal? I was wondering if maybe my skin was too warm when I applied it after my shower. The glue kind of seeped out around the patch. This one currently on seems better in that respect.

Boy! What a learning curve. :-)

I hope this finds you all well and resting. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Have a lovely Sunday.

Question about Climara patch glue

I used to have the ring when I was on the vivelle dot but not on Climara. I always apply my patch prior to showering. It seems to help with adhesion. I would use baby oil to remove the ring when I was on the dot. Hope you continue to do well on Climara.

Question about Climara patch glue

The ring of glue is quite common. I did use the patch for about my first six months post hyst and while I don't currently use the patch for hrt, I do use a pain patch for chronic pain issues. When it is time for me to change the patch, I do so before I get in the shower. I than thoroughly clean the area by scrubbing with soap first, than some shampoo. Once out of the shower, I thoroughly dry off, wait a few minutes and than apply the new patch to the opposite side of where I removed the previous patch.
