3 month mark and still swollen!

Hello to everyone and hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I'm officially 3 months out from a TAH/BSO. I'm 41. I'm on Estrase 2mg once a day, but I'm still swollen up. I've totally eliminated sodas and fast food and haven't gained any "weight" but I still have this big swollen belly to show the world. Anyone out there with some words of wisdom?

3 month mark and still swollen!

No words of wisdom I'm afraid but I'm just over 7 weeks out and no difference in the belly at all! I did pop onto the weighing scales once since I came home and I was the same wieght as when I went in for the op so I didn't bother with them again - mainly because I'm eating all types of rubbish and I surely don't need to see that I'm putting on weight!

From reading other posts the belly will go away when it's good and ready and 3 months isn't that long a time it would seem.

Hang in there!

3 month mark and still swollen!

I have the same swollen belly. I am a petite woman and haven't gained any weight. However, I have this huge stomach that has added at least 2 pant sizes to my frame. Nothing fits, which is more depressing than anything and I don't want to buy any new clothes.

My doctor gave me the go ahead on exercising, so I think that sit-ups to tighten the stomach muscles are in order. I'll keep you posted if I have any results.

Regards, P

Don't worry guys-The swelling will go away in time-It takes about a year to fully heal and then it should go down considerably. Please be patient and don't overdo it.
