Welcome!!! You have found a wonderful site. It is completely normal to be nervous. I will be having mine Dec 4 and the closer it gets the more nervous I find myself getting. Feel free to ask any questions you have.

It's completely normal and understandable to feel scared and anxious as you get closer to your surgery date. Waiting for surgery was definitely the worst part of the whole experience for me. I was a basket case, and then my surgery and overnight hospital stay went well, and my recovery has been smooth and steady, with no problems. I wish all of you ladies in waiting the best of luck - I hope your surgeries and hospital stays are without problems, and your recoveries are smooth and speedy!

Take care,
Linda

Hi: My surgery is the same day as you on Dec. 3rd and I had my pre-op today. I honestly feel better after speaking with the nurse and anesthesiologist. They made it seem likek they do this every day - and they do - so it helped me a lot.

I know it is scary, but look at all the support here, and those who have been through it and came out just fine.

My surgery is on the 4th. Although I'm a little nervous, I'm mostly excited to finally be rid of my fibroids and nasty monthly symptoms. When ever I start to second guess my decision or get too worried, I just reflect on how much I've already suffered over the past couple of years. It really helps put things in perspective. Perhaps staying busy will help you keep your mind so busy you won't have much time to worry. Best of luck to you. I'll be going through it right after you.
