Spinal anaesthetic anyone?

Thank you for your good wishes this morning. I am off to the hosp. for surgery at ll:00a.m. I am anxious and can't wait to get it over with.
Has anyone had a spinal anaesthetic for a TAH?

I did it and have felt great ever since. First day was a little painfull because I can't take most pain releivers like morphine and others but once under control by 5pm I was fine and only taking extra strength tylonol that night.

I have had a great recovery and hardly any hard pain. Yes I still swell and just do ibuprofin for that.
Good luck to you and take a mp3 or walkman with you They had music for me but in case they don't they should let you wear it and plus it is great for blocking out the very noicy hospital while trying to sleep

Thanks for your email. I am struggling with the mildly sore throat and I am going to request a spinal and see what happens. Also thanks for the tip of the walkman and I do have it packed.

this is a great option and one i definitely would have considered if i could have. i had a lap so it wasnt an option. the sedatives they give work so good...you probably wont remember a thing. good luck
