back pain anyone?

I am 3 weeks post op today and for the past 2 days my back pain is WORSE than ever. I have 3 kids so I don't lay around all day. I am careful not to over do it but the back pain is definately worse than the abdominal pain. I have a dr appt on tuesday and i am going to talk to the dr about it.I have been using the heating pad and taking tylenol but lately that doesnt seem to help. Has anyone else found that their back pain has increased? Help!

back pain anyone?

I have had back pain from ruptured disk since 2002. It had gotten so much better before I had hysterectomy, thats why I went ahead with surgery. I was afraid that back would flare up after surgery and it has. Started about 3 weeks out and has gotten worse. Foot numbness and leg pain again. Chiropractor wouldn't adjust pelvis until 6 weeks post-op. Its been 6 weeks. I am going at 1:00 today for adjustment. I have got to get some relief. Also started back to work 1/2 days this past Monday On my feet for 5 hrs The abdomen and back pain so bad could barley walk to the car yesterday.

back pain anyone?

My back pain is much worse than my abdominal, and it is much worse when sitting down. I've been wearing on of those disposable heating wrap things for the back, what's great about those is that I put the heating part on my back and then it wraps around the front and works like a binder!!!!

back pain anyone?

Hello Ladies

yep, you get a sore back and a sore front with a TAH... LOL. Your back muscles compensate for the lack of abdominal muscle support. I'm nearly four weeks since surgery and have seen my Chiropractor twice - at two weeks and today. I feel like a human being again now. I'm also using a wheat heat pack which is soothing for all my sore, achey muscles.

Look after yourselves.

back pain anyone?

jconway101 - I can't wait to hear what your doctor tells you Tuesday. I too have been taking Advil and yesterday got myself a heating pad - even with those two aids, sitting is somewhat painful for my back - only way I am comfortable is lying on my side for whatever reason. Hopefully your MD will provide a "magical potion" that you can share with us all - this is really quite unbearable!

back pain anyone?

You can get the heatwraps at Walmart or any drugstore. Thermacare Heatwraps are what the are sold as. Many stores have their own brand but the Thermacare are better and last alot lnger than the others. They cost about 6.00 for 2 wraps. Get the large size as they cover more area on lower back and hips.

back pain anyone?

thank you for answering for me jijihe, i just now got on line. I actually went shopping today, I'll probably pay for it tomorrow, and I wore one of the back Thermacare wraps all day. I'm on my 12th day since TAH and just needed to get out of the house. My DH drove of course, and he dropped my off at the front of the mall and he opened every door for me and carried every package, I really didn't do anything but walk. I hope I didn't over do it, I guess I'll know tomorrow. I'm sitting her now with a heating pad on my belly and one on my back. This back pain is just too much!!!!
