Possible incision infection

I recently had a LSH on Nov. 26th. My incision on the left bleed slightly and had a small amount of what I believe to be pus coming out of it. My dtr put me on Cipro, and I have been taking it for four days now. My incision doesn't seem to be getting much better Does anyone else have this problem or have any ideas I could use until I can see my dtr tomorrow?

Thanks,
Sheila

EMOHCLADY

I'm sorry you're experiencing this, but seeing your doctor tomorrow is definitely a good idea. Will you let us know how it goes? Take care!

Possible incision infection

I had something almost exactly like you're experiencing. Mine was in the belly button incision. The doc said it was a suture granuloma (I think he called it) It was right at the tip of the suture. Anyway, they put me on Cephalexen for 10 days and all was well. I think you'll be ok until tomorrow, but I would certainly ask if it's no better.
Good luck

If it is hard, hot, or hurts, or you have a fever, I would go to the ER. If not, call the doc in the morning.

I had a similiar issue. Mine was a stitch abcess. I was put on antibiotics for 7 days and it cleared up. Having the Dr. poke and prod at it, also cleaning it, was the worst part of the entire process. Oh did it STING! Like pouring Bactine in a cut.
