Yes, Kat, I had the same experience at my 4 1/2 weeks post op. This guy was just my surgeon, I normally use a nurse practitioner. And since I had a TAH/BSO, she said I don't really have need of her either anymore, except for HRT prescriptions (Climara .1 patches). But, I go with what I feel. Incision healing, but sore, of course, and swollen bulge above it. Can't possibly workout, because I did major Pilates and anything I would do, would pull internal stitches. I know that. Can't dance, because my energy isn't up to it. Besides, don't if anyone else experiences this, but my body weight feels distributed differently. Always been a dancer, so I know every twinge and feel to all body boundaries. I can't "feel" my body right yet. So, I know I can't dance.

I never saw any stitches on my underwear, as people suggested. Smells weird, different when I pee, like new surgery........ I don't know stuff either. I figure you just have to go with your own senses to tell you what's right, what isn't and what you can and cannot do.

I just bought some new dance workout dvds, and looking forward to trying them after friday - my 6 week. I know what you mean about not feeling your body right. I feel like I have a blob of jello around my belly. Are you still all having swelling like that?

Yes. Right now, besides still needing a lot of rest, it is the thing that is most bothersome. Saw the Dr for my 6 wk a couple days ago. She released me back into the wild again. She said I could start doing sit-ups. Am so glad she has that much faith in me

I was suppose to go for my 6 week checkup today and find out about going back to work but we had snow last night and my doctor's office just called and changed it to next monday.I guess it will be a couple of more days before I can return. I work in the cafeteria at our school so I guess today won't count anyway since they didn't have school today and are off monday.I am a little nervous about returning because I have had such a Good recovery(praise God) and I am a little afraid of all the lifting I have to do.We put away our own stock(up to 45pounds).I know the other ladies will help but still a little weary about it. Hope you are all having a speedy recovery and God bless all of the sisters.

Had my 6 week checkup and things are good and clear to go. I was so nervous it was going to really hurt, but it was not bad. My doctor said just take it slow, don't push it, just enjoy feeling better. Hope everyone is doing well and hope to see posts letting all of us know how you are doing or if you need some support.

Good thoughts to all....

feeling GREAT!!!!

Yes, I am now 8 weeks post op and feel great. I returned to work on the 14th and have had three full weeks of work under my belt. Still pampering the princess and trying to take it easy - and I am getting at least 8 hours of sleep at night and trying to go easy at work.

This whole experience was not as bad as I thought it would be and hope everyone has the same experience as I have had. I have been checking in to read the posts and give encouragement where I can, as this is so important.

Thank you HysterSisters.

In health,

Tickled Pink

pleasantly surprised...

I went back to work exactly 4 wks post-op with Dr blessings, began to travel for my job by weeks 5 & 6, coming soon will officially mark my 8th week and I'm proud to say I'm feeling very good.

I have a bit of a head cold, began yesterday and if I blow too hard, I can feel a little pull on the inside but other than that, my life is more or less back to normal except it's pain free!!! I still have my cervix and ovaries so I'm now having what I call fake periods, my ovaries ache and my boobs get soar , little tender in the ab and then in 48 hours, it's OVER! No bleeding at all.....God, thank you! Thank you to all my sisters for helping me through it all....

Hello Ladies,

Been awhile since I posted last, but I've been thinking of each and every one of you as always.

I'm over 8 weeks post-op and have overall been feeling fabulous. I still have the odd day where I feel tired and have a few aches and pains around where my incisions were, but I can not compalin.

I am so happy that I did this, no regrets whatsoever!

I hope everyone else is feeling or continuing to feel better each and every day.
