What should the area look like after surgery?

I hope this questions doesn't sound to gross, but what should your vaginal area look like after surgery? I had a TVH with removal of the cervix on November 19th and wanted to see what it looked like afterwards. When I looked with a mirror, I can see a round area that looks like it was sewn together with a small hole in the middle. Is this normal? I wasn't expecting to see anything. I have also had some brownish/yellowish discharge is this normal? I never looked down there before surgery so I'm not sure what it should look like. Any information anyone has would be greatly appreciated. I just hope nothing has fallen down from inside.

What should the area look like after surgery?

It sounds normal. Everyone has a different anatomy down there, so I would ask your doc if he/she did any stitching down there.
Discharge is normal for several weeks. Mine stopped suddenly at 4 weeks but many others had it for several weeks after and still normal.
