Swelly Belly is so numb!

Me, too ladies! I'm 6 weeks post-op tomorrow... TAH/BSO (took ovaries and tubes)... I am still almost completely numb above the incision.. sometimes more than others. It is strange because you would think the numbness would be on the bottom half. I've heard the feeling sometimes never comes back completely. Thankfully, I have not experienced any problems with my bladder, except when it gets full it makes my swelly belly uncomfortable and I have to go empty quickly.

Swelly Belly is so numb!

My numbness seems somewhat better, but most of it is still there. I have numbness for a couple of inches above and maybe one inch below my incision and on both sides. I just felt around on my belly and it actually seems better today. I have some feeling below the incision. I just noticed below is better. I've been numbed in the area where shaved, but that area has improved. yeah! I expect some of the numbness to stay.

It has been a great relief that most of my funny, weird skin feeling to be better.

thanks.

Swelly Belly is so numb!

I will be 5 weeks post-op on Monday, and my belly seems much better now as far as numbness--now it's just a little tender to the touch. It was completely numb for about 2 weeks, and then started to gradually get better.

Swelly Belly is so numb!

It can take a longgggggggggg time to get the feeling back completely. I'm 3+ months post-op and still have that tummy numbness.

Swelly Belly is so numb!

I am starting to get some feeling back now but my worst was at about 2 weeks when it felt lke someone kicked me in crotch it was just all pins and needles for 3 days. Was a horrible feeling but is now gone. I do notice it is still swollen under incision though very puffy feeling.
I have had a great recovery though and can'tcomplain about to much I just figured it will come sooner or later
