9 days post-op, no discharge?

I am 9 days post-op from a TAH and I haven't spotted at all. I haven't even worn a pad since I got home from the hospital. Is this normal? I wasn't concerned until a friend called who had a TAH 30 yrs ago and said I should be passing some blood. Should I be flowing or have any discharge? I'm enjoying not wearing panties around the house and just letting it all hang out, ha!

I don't know if it's normal or not, but I haven't spotted at all either and I had my TAH on the 20th. It appears I bought a package of pads for nothing!

I'm not really having any either. My mom had hers done a while back and she said she just had a little bit. I would think if there was bleeding, then I'd be concerned. I think it means we are healing well!

Well I guess I'll be the first to report that after 16 days postop with nothing, I had a bit of spotting today - just enough to merit a panyliner - and I was like MissDee2, enjoying letting it all hang out!! Have read that this is normal as long as it is not bright red and significant in amount - I will contact a Dr if anything changes. Will keep you gals updated - let me know if your "situation" changes as well.

I have not seen any discharge. I don't even remember having any in the hospital. I am four weeks out and still have yet to see anything??? I also bought some pads for the hospital and afterwards and only wore them in the hospital(just in case). I haven't wore anything since I have been home and have not seen any discharge or blood. I am glad you posted this....I was a little nervous as to if this is a negative or a positive or if it means anything at all. I haven't even seen the internal stitches dissolve and come out yet.?? I am sure that we are probably healing fine just different, but I never asked the DR. So, I am curious to see what the other sisters have to say about this ?

Well I would say your lucky and enjoy it. In fact I'm a little green around the gills with envy! I am 4 weeks and 1 day and my bleeding is finally just now light pink and now I have that beige discharge too. Ugh. I'm on my second bag of pads and I looked today and thought oh goody I need to go buy another one!!!

So as long as you feel good - I say enjoy ladies!!!

Cheers,

I'm 3 weeks post-op and only had a slight discharge the 3rd day after surgery, absolutely nothing since then. It's been wonderful!

I had a TAH with both ovaries removed. I've had zero discharge and was wondering if this was ok too. Thanks for this thread.
